AstaPure™ Astaxanthin:

I'm very excited about our latest addition to the co-op. The optimum dose of 400 milligrams has incredible potential in an Essential Lifestyle.

Dosage: 200 milligrams 2- times a day. Adding 12 grams to your order is a months supply.

1. The best method is to have us mix your AstaPure with one-half pound of glyconutrients or one pound of Trehalose sweetener.
2. 1 level teaspoon - twice a day with AstaPure added, your dose will be just under 400 mg.
3. The 1 pound of Trehalose mix would require 2 level teaspoons - twice a day to obtain about 400 mg.

Astaxanthin Beadlets are a microencapsulated natural astaxanthin complex extracted from Haematococcus pluvialis algal biomass by Supercritical CO2 extraction technology.

Astaxanthin - a superb natural antioxidant and a member of the carotenoid family, is a dark-red pigment which is the main carotenoid found in the marine world of algae and aquatic animals.

The Bad News First. Unfortunately, there may be a 25 percent increase in the cost of all pre-mixed glyconutrient formulations within the next 30 days. The reasons are two-fold, we have had an increase in the cost of our goods and we would like to offer an Affiliate or Rewards Program for those that work hard at promoting GlyCop.

Please contact us with your comments and suggestions.

Since October of last year, Gum Tragacanth has doubled in cost and Gum Ghatti has gone up about a third. The Fucoidan 40 percent also increased by 33 percent. Several glyconutrient formulations have gone up in price as much as a dollar or two because of this increase. A few more prices will go up this month and we apologize for having to pass the extra expense to the Members of GlyCop.

And The Good News!  We are considering L-Carnitine as an item at the co-op and need to know if you are interested in a product that has the following qualities? Please read more at http://www.raysahelian.com/carnitine.html

  1. ADHD --Treatment with carnitine decreased attention problems and aggressive behavior in boys with ADHD.
  2. Diabetes - Oral administration of L-carnitine reduces oxidized LDL cholesterol levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
  3. Exercise -- Carnitine improves recovery after heavy exercise. Carnitine may be of use in improving exercise capacity of people with peripheral arterial disease. Carnitine moderately improves the duration of exercise and time to recovery in patients with chronic stable angina.
  4. Fatigue -- Carnitine may improve fatigue in certain conditions, including cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Carnitine decreases the severity and type of fatigue induced by interferon-alpha in the treatment of patients with hepatitis C. Administration of carnitine to healthy elderly subjects results in a reduction of total fat mass, an increase of total muscle mass, and appears to exert a favorable effect on fatigue and serum lipids.
  5. Fertility -- Carnitine and acetyl carnitine therapy are effective in increasing fertility and sperm-semen quality.
  6. Heart Failure -- Those with heart failure may benefit from carnitine supplements.
  7. Hyperthyroidism -- Carnitine is effective in both reversing and preventing symptoms of hyperthyroidism and has a beneficial effect on bone mineralization. Because hyperthyroidism depletes the body deposits of carnitine and since carnitine has little toxicity, teratogenicity, contraindications and few interactions with drugs, carnitine can be of clinical use.
  8. Kidney dialysis -- Intravenous carnitine is an accepted pharmaceutical treatment for carnitine deficiency in end-stage renal disease in patients undergoing dialysis.
  9. Liver cirrhosis -- Treatment of patients with liver cirrhosis with signs of liver insufficiency is complex and seldom satisfactory. Carnitine is involved in liver lipid metabolism and thus might be a potentially effective nutrient. One study shows L carnitine lowers serum ammonia concentration and improves lipid metabolism in patients with liver cirrhosis. Carnitine may also play a beneficial role in the treatment of mild or moderate hepatic encephalopathy, and perhaps liver cancer.
  10. Sexual health -- Apparently l carnitine is helpful in sexual enhancement. Acetyl-l-carnitine is also helpful in this regard.
  11. Thalassemia -- Lcarnitine may be an effective substance for improving the cardiac status of thalassemic patients.
  12. Weight Loss -- The combination of l carnitine, choline, and caffeine has a mild effect on weight loss.

Just to summarize the important points:

The Essential Area is a very specialized list of products we carry, so you can get the most effective nutrition we offer.
The Glyconutrient Area is our pre-mixed list of Glyconutrients and a few special items, such as Trehalose.
The Bulk Glyconutrient Area is for the more experienced members of GlyCop and provides a completely customizable way to formulate your own glyconutrients with some very specialized ingredients.
The Education Area is a comprehensive listing of many tools and is designed to teach almost everything we have researched on other websites.
The Contact Us Area lists just about everything you would want to know about the co-op and has a quick link to email us.

The GlyCop Website Is Changing:

GlyCop is built like a book and we hope to improve it soon. We recently added a "Product Compare" page that allows you to tag several items and look at them side by side. The compare feature is pretty simple to use, once you get used to it.

The most important menu items start from left to right, i.e., Essentials then Glyconutrients, etc. You can always click on a product name or picture for more details inside the product categories. We always list direct links to each manufacture of each ingredients in the Product Details and there is quick link to ask a question about the product if you so desire.

We apologize for the complexity of the website and we hope that it will soon change for the better, it was created for people that are serious about a quality product, at reasonable prices. We hope that you find the co-op useful and purposefully honest in it's design and approach, and we welcome you to our family.

Sincerely,

Michael West
